LSESD

WMUV serves with Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development, also known as LSESD through our focus: refugee partnership.  Over the last 1 ½ years, Lebanon has faced

• Economic crisis

  • Because of the economic crisis, over ¾ of the population currently lives under the poverty line

• COVID

• Fuel Shortage

  • The fuel shortage causes long daily power outages

Thankfully, they can continue to meet needs through a fuel reserve that powers generators.  However, given that there is no end in sight to the fuel shortage, this is not a sustainable solution.  

LSESD hopes to install Photovoltaic systems to act as both a primary and backup system to help them maintain essential operations for online learning, connecting with partners abroad, and managing current projects that meet community needs.  

By contributing to the Women’s Get Away offering for 2021, you will help LSESD move closer to their goal of installing these systems and continue the good and vital work they are doing to equip the church and serve the community.
